MIRABEAU EN PROVENCE 2013 Côtes de Provence, France.

MIRABEAU EN PROVENCE 2013 Côtes de Provence, France.

Mirabeau is owned by ex-pat Brits who ditched their corporate London careers for Provence. While rosé is naturally a focus here, seek out this red: the blend of Syrah and Cabernet is from 50-year-old vines grown at 200m altitude. Firm tannins packed with wild berry characters, and good depth on the finish.

Provence is famous for making the best rosés in the world, and they have notched up some pretty good experience having made it since 600BC. Mirabeau’s main focus is on making delicious, dry pink wines that will be a perfect partner to a huge variety of food and almost any occasion. They also make small quantities of crisp and floral white and some delicious, smooth berried reds with all the concentration of fruit from this sun-soaked area.

CLASSIC

Their signature wine, Mirabeau Classic is a Côtes de Provence made from beautiful hillside vineyards to the south-east of Aix-en-Provence. A vibrant pink, classic pale Provence rosé whose generous fruit charms the senses immediately with a heady mixture of wild strawberry, red cherry and raspberry aromatics. Surprisingly elegant and balanced on the palate with a delicious fresh acidity, combines with generous fruit to create a sumptuous lingering finish. Perfect as an aperitif whilst watching the sun go down or drink it as they do in Provence – with almost everything!
